Parcel Pending Scholarship
Parcel Pending is a cutting-edge package management company located in Irvine, California. We strive to create simplicity for universities, multifamily communities, and commercial and retail spaces. We also hope to reward individuals who act as thought-leaders and can recognize global consumer and economic trends in a variety of different industries. We are excited to announce our new Parcel Pending Scholarship Contest. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to assist with the financing of his or her academic pursuits.
Who is eligible?
Any undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year college or university in the United States, Canada, or Mexico is encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants must hold a cumulative 3.0-grade point average out of a possible 4.0, or a 4.0 out of a possible 5.0. Employees of Parcel Pending are not eligible.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants must write an 800 -1,000-word essay describing the changes in consumer behavior as it pertains to online shopping, and specifically, how it influences the package-delivery and package management industries. Successful essays will demonstrate a clear understanding of the changing e-commerce trends, along with the pressures they inflict upon package management processes. All essays are due on June 20th.

Selection process and notification.
The Parcel Pending Scholarship Committee will review all essays and select a winner that best demonstrates an understanding of the changing online shopping environment and the effects that it has on the parcel-delivery and package-management industries. One winner will be selected prior to the fall term. Once the winner has been selected, he or she will be contacted by July 10th.
The scholarship funds can be used as tuition for one academic semester beginning after August 1st, as posted by financial aid office at the winner’s college or university. Parcel Pending will make one single payment of $1,000 to the selected individual’s college: funds are not transferable to other academic institutions. The funds are to be used exclusively for tuition—not for other costs such as room and board.
